Welcome Back, Sisters!

Introducing Sr. Maria Suso and Sr. Lucy Fidelis

The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist have returned to their mission here in Peoria to prepare for another school year! We are delighted to welcome back our principal at St. Jude Catholic School, Sr. Maria Christi Nelson, after her short break at the Motherhouse in Ann Arbor. Also, returning to St. Jude are Sr. Teresa Paul Hill and Sr. Mary Lawrence Payne, and Sr. Mary Esther Downey to Peoria Notre Dame.

We are pleased to welcome Sr. Maria Suso Rispoli, originally from Clearwater, Fla., to the mission this year! She will teach biology at Peoria Notre Dame, and just professed her Final Vows on July 25. Also joining us is Sr. Lucy Fidelis Brungardt, who is from Wichita, Kan., and professed her First Vows on July 27. She will be a full-time teacher assistant at St. Jude and will occasionally assist at PND.

We are so grateful to Mother Assumpta for generously assigning six Sisters to the Peoria mission this year! Please be sure to welcome the Sisters "home," and continue to pray for them and for an increase in vocations to consecrated religious life and the priesthood.
