objective and schedule of the program

The goal of St. Jude Religious Education is to communicate the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church to students in grades K through 8.  Second Grade is devoted to preparation for First Penance/Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  Seventh and Eighth grades are devoted to preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Religious education classes are held each Sunday from 10:10am to 11:20am or Wednesday from 6:45pm to 8:00pm.

It is important to incorporate Christian Service in the lives of our young people!  Our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are required to complete the following service hours by the end of the school year:

  • 6th grade students:  8 hours of service
  • 7th grade students:  10 hours of service
  • 8th grade students:  20 hours of service

After each semester, the student is required to complete a Christian Service Hours Log and turn it in to their teacher.
